The group assignment for this module is to create a Trailer and Title sequence for a fictional TV show called “Detectives of…” (an anagram of video effects). Yesterday we went out to film some footage around Bolton Uni.

I really enjoy getting assignments where you have the freedom to produce and create your own footage. It’s a way of gaining new skills and enhancing ones you already have.

Although it’s a video effects assignment, going out and filming the footage your going to use is a great experience even though it’s a long process for relatively short clips. Yesterday for instance, we spent 6 hours getting 30 seconds worth of film.

It’s all worth it though. The finished product will look great. Now it’s time to lock myself away and get on with editing footage together.
